LWC Baseball returns to Egnew Park today and tomorrow By Brady Budke Attempting to bounce back from last night's road loss, the Lindsey Wilson baseball team returns home to Egnew Park, Lindsey Wilson Sports Complex, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY, today and tomorrow to battle Shawnee State (OH) in a Mid-South Conference showdown. Today will be a doubleheader, with game one beginning at 1pmCT while game two will follow shortly after. Tomorrow will feature a single game beginning at 10amCT. Live video and live stats will be available throughout the series. Please view the LWC Attendance Protocols for more information. Shawnee State (8-7, 2-3 MSC) swept a doubleheader yesterday at home over Bluefield (VA). The Bears walk into Columbia today averaging seven runs per game while allowing 5.5 to opponents in return. Five Bears have recorded double-digit hits this season, led by Jacob Kline at 22. From the mound, Kyle Wisniewski and Kellen Ingram have each corralled a team-high 27 strikeouts. Lindsey Wilson (6-9, 3-3 MSC) has fallen in three-straight contests, losing yesterday by a high-scoring final of 33-15 at No. 11 IU Southeast (Ind.). Derek Zavala garnered a team-high four RBIs last night on a grand slam, and leads LWC this season total hits (24), RBIs (16), and stolen bases (12).
