Melinda Alice (Mendi) Milby Laslie, 55, Green Co., KY (1965-2021) Melinda Alice "Mendi" Milby Laslie of the Hudgins Community of Green County, daughter of Julia Sue Mitchell Milby of Green County and the late Willie Vernos Milby, was born on Wednesday, October 6, 1965 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, March 5, 2021at her home. She was 55 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was an Attorney-at-Law for the Kentucky Legal Aid for 30 years, and was Junior Chamber International Senator with the U.S. Junior Chamber of Congress. Survived by her husband of 26 years, Mitchell Jay Laslie of Hudgins Community, having united in marriage on December 10, 1994. Other survivors include her children: Matthew Jacob Laslie, Melissa Hayes and her husband, Matt, Michelle Jeffries and her husband, Jon, Melinda Staten and her husband, Wes, and Joseph Reynolds and his wife, Rebecca all of Green County; two special children: Christy Conrad and Brandon Conrad both of Richmond, Ohio; a sister and brother-in-law: Angie and Tommy Watkins of Greensburg; a brother and sister-in-law: Russ and Mary Jo Milby of Harrodsburg; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Brenda Millet, Gale Hance, Linda Taylor, Judy Catlett, Sandy Jackson, and Jamie Laslie; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Mike Laslie, James Robert Laslie, and Richie Laslie. The funeral services for Melinda Alice "Mendi" Milby Laslie will be conducted at 1pmCT Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Timmy Shirley and Bro. Jerry Noe officiating. Visitation is requested after 10. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home. PALLBEARERS: Jacob Laslie, Joe Reynolds, Matt Hayes, Jon Jeffries, Wes Staten, and Scott Montgomery.
