LWC Women's Basketball holds No. 11 spot in Top 25 Poll By Brady Budke The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team moves up two spots to No. 11 in the final edition of the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 poll, officials announced on Wednesday. The Blue Raiders (18-4, 13-4 MSC) garner 401 points in the poll, falling on the heels of No. 10 Southeastern (Fla.) who has 427 points. LWC beats out No. 12 MidAmerican Nazarene (Kan.) who pulls in 381 points. Fellow Mid-South Conference member Thomas More (Ky.) continues to hold the No. 1 with 581 points and 14 first-place votes. Right behind, Wayland Baptist (Texas) controls No. 2 with 567 points and four first-place votes, while MSC member Campbellsville (Ky.) sits at No. 3 after earning 546 points. Westmont (Calif.) (542 points and three first-place votes) and Marian (Ind.) (518 points) maintain No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Alongside Lindsey Wilson, Thomas More, and Campbellsville, the MSC features Cumberlands (Ky.) at No. 24 while Shawnee State (Ohio) is in the receiving votes section. The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team will return to the court on Saturday to face Martin Methodist in the MSC Tournament Quarterfinals at 7:30pmCT in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
