LWC Cheerleading competes at MSC Championships on Saturday By Kyle Jackson The Lindsey Wilson cheerleading team travels to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the Mid-South Conference Cheerleading Championships this weekend, set to begin at 10amCT at Bowling Green High School. A limited number of spectators are permitted to attend the event. Each team was given a certain number of tickets along with a team passcode to purchase the tickets online. There will not be any ticket sales available at the venue. The event schedule is split into three total sessions which are cheer preliminaries, dance, and cheer finals. In between each session, there will be performances from local high school and middle school cheer programs. Once the three sessions are concluded, All-American tryouts will begin shortly after the finals with awards and final scores to follow. National Cheerleaders Association rules and scoring will be used for both events. Competing alongside the Blue Raiders are Bethel (Tenn.), Cumberlands (Ky.), Georgetown (Ky.), Life (Ga.) and Martin Methodist (Tenn.). Lindsey Wilson completed their regular season on February 10th, with an 83-62 loss to Pikeville (KY). Live Video will be available for $9.99 for the championship through the Sporting Times video portal.
