Men's Indoor Track competes in IWU Midwest Classic

Marion, IN - The Lindsey Wilson men's Indoor Track & Field team competed at the IWU Classic on Friday and Saturday at Troyer Fieldhouse located on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana.

Friday featured the field events with Justin Borden and Rayne Jones-Foster making it to the finals of the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. Borden finished the high jump in ninth place recording a jump of 1.81 meters. Jones-Foster produced a 17th place finish in the long jump notching a leap of 5.76 meters. The Blue Raiders saw Borden, Jones-Foster, and Robert Dyer all participate in the Triple Jump finals where Borden leaped a 13.03-meter distance, earning a third-place finish for Lindsey Wilson. Jones-Foster finished in 4th with a jump of 12.82 meters and Dyer with a 6th place finish recording a jump of 12.43 meters.

Saturday saw most of the on-track action take place with the first event being the 600-meter run. Lindsey Wilson had four student-athletes compete in this event with Jaylun Wallace finishing second with a time of 1:24:99. K'ron Sherald put together a time of 1:30:34 to earn a tenth-place finish. Devon Hall came across the line with a time of 1:30:97 to finish 13th and Josiah Harris recorded a time of 1:31:00 for a 14th place finish.



In the 1000-meter run, Noah Brown registered a ninth-place finish with a time of 2:41:26.

Victor Clark registered a sixth-place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:30:67 while Levi Owens finished 23rd with a time of 4:46:60.

No team score was kept at the event.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on February 19-20 when they travel to Louisville, Ky. to compete in the Urban League Louisville Meet.
