Timothy Ray Dykes, 48, Russell County, KY (1972-2021)

Timothy Ray Dykes, age 48, of Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at his residence.

Timothy was born on June 3, 1972, in Somerset, son of the Elmer Ray Dykes and Helen Guffey Dykes. He was a licensed practical nurse. Timothy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Louisville Cardinals fan. He loved his family and spending time with them.



He is survived by his son, Christian (and Pearl) Dykes, of Columbia; his mother, Helen (and James) Brooks, of Lexington; his sisters, Rhonda (and Randy) Rainbolt, of Clearwater, Florida, and Heather (and Matt) McQueary, of Lexington; his granddaughter, Ella Dykes, of Columbia; nephew, Caleb McQueary, of Lexington; nieces, Lindsay (and Matt) Decker, of Washington D.C. and Bethany Stapp, of Clearwater, Florida; and a great-nephew, Brooks Decker, of Washington D.C.

Preceding Timothy in death is his father, Elmer Ray Dykes.

Private funeral services will be held for the family at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Garner officiating. Interment will be in the Jamestown City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ella Dykes College Fund, c/o Pearl Dykes, 186 West Barbee Street, Columbia, KY 42728.

In charge of arrangements.
