LWC Women's Basketball to host Martin Methodist By Brady Budke The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team is ready to continue Mid-South Conference play tonight when the squad will face off against Martin Methodist (TN). Live video and live stats will be available for this game. Tipoff is slated for 5pmCT tonight at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The Blue Raiders (14-3, 9-3 MSC) are on a strong surge after dropping No. 12 Shawnee State (OH) by a final of 84-67 on Saturday afternoon at home. Reagan Turner, who is one point away from moving into second all-time in LWC women's basketball career scoring, corralled 24 points in the win over the Bears. She has garnered the team-high average in scoring at 22.4 points per game. Along with Turner, Bree Glover continues to shine this season, leading the team in rebounds per game (10.4), steals per game (1.7) and blocks per game (2.4). As for Martin Methodist (3-9, 2-9 MSC), the RedHawks were defeated on Saturday by No. 4 Thomas More (Ky.) by a score of 61-50. The squad has dropped six straight games, having last won back on Jan. 9 over Cumberland (TN). The duo of Erin Freeman and Laurhen Pickett continue to guide the struggling RedHawks this season.
