LWC Archery tightens bows for MSC Indoor Championships By Kyrin Mayfield The Lindsey Wilson archery team is back in action for the first time since October. The Blue Raiders are competing in the Mid-South Conference Indoor Championships in Madisonville, Kentucky, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Due to COVID-19 protocol, no fans are allowed in the venue. Lindsey Wilson is hoping to build off its program-best runner-up finish at the USA Archery 3D National Championships back on October 17, where the Blue Raiders captured two individual titles and two team titles. Three qualifying sessions make up the action from Friday night to Saturday afternoon. The first session begins at 4pmCT. on Friday with the third and final session scheduled for 1pmCT. These qualifying rounds serve as each archer's Indoor National score, which will be released at some point from late February to early March. Saturday night signals the beginning of the Mid-South Conference Championship with mixed team rounds at 5:30pmCT. Sunday consists of individual competitions from 8amCT until 5pmCT. Team competition follows with the award ceremony at 7:30pmCT to conclude the championship. Last season at the MSC Indoor Championships, Pikeville (KY) claimed the title with 142 points. Cumberlands (KY) finished in second at 126 points and Lindsey Wilson claimed third place, just four points behind the Patriots. This story was posted on 2021-01-28 12:37:35
