LWC Women's Basketball faces No. 4 Thomas More on Monday By Brady Budke Winners of seven straight games, the No. 17-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team returns to the floor tomorrow afternoon to face No. 4-ranked Thomas More (KY) in a Mid-South Conference battle at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The Blue Raiders (11-1, 6-1 MSC) enter tomorrow's game after sneaking past (RV) Cumberlands (KY) by a final of 64-61 on Saturday afternoon at home. A combination of strong defense and favorable individual performances has propelled LWC in recent victories. Lindsey Wilson has held three consecutive opponents to under 35 percent shooting from the field, holding the Patriots to a 31.5% mark on Saturday. Jordyn Stephens stepped up big in the victory over UC, scoring her LWC career-high of 21 points on a 7-of-12 mark from the field. Bree Glover continues to shine for her squad, corralling back-to-back double-digit rebounding performances while adding five assists and four blocks on Saturday. Thomas More (15-0, 10-0 MSC) walks into Columbia tomorrow being one of the most consistent teams in the NAIA. The Saints recently pummelled MSC foe Bethel (TN) on Saturday by a staggering score of 100-42. TMU shares the wealth of success well throughout its lineup. Zoie Barth leads the charge in points per game (14.7), assists per game (3.5), and steals per game (1.9). Courtney Hurst sits atop the conference in total 3-pointers made (43) and 3-pointers made per game (3.0).
