Rexford (Rex) Paxton, 82, Greensburg, KY (1938-2021)

Rexford "Rex" Paxton of Greensburg passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 82 years old.

There will be graveside services held for Rex Paxton at 1:30pmCT on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Greensburg with Bro. Dale Curry and Bro. Gary Baker officiating.

Due to Covid-19, State mandates, and health of others, please continue to practice social distancing and use facial covering.



Rexford "Rex" Paxton of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Harley Richard Paxton and Mary Frances Wilkerson Paxton, was born on Sunday, May 22, 1938 in Green County.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church. He was also a retired banker, and controller for Truss Supply, Inc., Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Survived by his wife of 61 years, Patsy Kay Patterson Paxton of Greensburg, having united in marriage on November 30, 1959.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Anne Paxton Moore & Howard Moore of Greensburg, and Beth Paxton Klein & Richard Klein of Louisville; four grandchildren: Hayes Moore and his wife, Korianne of Greensburg, Chelsea Klein of Iowa, Gaither Moore of Bowling Green, and Casey Klein of Lexington; two great-grandchildren: Brooks Moore and Kade Moore both of Greensburg; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Richard and Katie Patterson of Bardstown; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Paxton was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Garland Paxton, Russell Paxton, Imogene Parson, and Ermadean Paxton.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Greensburg U.M.C. Trustees Fund, or the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Hayes Moore, Chelsea Klein, Gaither Moore, Casey Klein, Billy Parson, Andrew Parson, Mike Judd, Richard Patterson.
