Betty Brummett, 91, Russell County, KY (1929-2020) Betty Brummett, of Jamestown, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, at Russell County Hospital. She was 91 years of age. Born on October 5, 1929, in Russell County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late A.G. and Grace Upton Dunbar. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Sewellton Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and working with her flowers. Survivors include one daughter, Judy (and Ronald) Rexroat of Georgetown; three sons, Tony Brummett, Phillip Brummett, Jr., and Dudley (and Trish) Brummett, all of Jamestown; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Betty is also survived by one brother, Ralph Dunbar of Louisiana; and three sisters, Ann Dunbar, Lola Mabry, and Shirley Falk, all of Michigan. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Brummett, who passed away on July 18, 2017; one daughter, Peggy Sue Willingham; and one brother, Jack Dunbar. Funeral services are 12noonCT Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Bernard Funeral Home with Brother Mike Bunch officiating. Betty will be laid to rest at Jamestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11-12pmCT Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings are required. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503. Betty’s funeral arrangements by Bernard Funeral Home.
