Elvia Don Burton, 77, Columbia, KY (1942-2020)

Elvia Don Burton of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at his residence. He was 77 years old.

Private funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Friday, December 4, 2020, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ralph Foster officiating. Burial will follow in the Bearwallow Cemetery.

The funeral service will be live streamed on Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home Facebook page.



Born December 12, 1942, in Columbia, KY, he was the son of the late Forest and Elzada Streeval Burton.

Mr. Burton was the former owner and operator of Burton's Tin Shop.

Survivors include his wife Carol Burton of Columbia; three children Marty Burton (Rebecca) of Russell Springs, KY, Roxann Lawless (Mark Allen) of Jamestown, KY and Stacey Biggs (Craig) of Lucas, KY; four grandchildren Ashley Stearns, Marketta Lawless Mayner (Mason), Alex Biggs (Courtney) and Mason Biggs and 3 great-grandchildren; seven siblings Geneva Goodin, Clarice Pendleton, Rachel Pike, Tony Burton, Ronald Burton, Joe Burton and Dean Piercy; several nieces and nephews and his K-9 companion Katie also survive.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Darrell Gene Burton.

Pallbearers will be Richie Melson, Mark Lawless, Craig Biggs, Alex Biggs, Mason Biggs and Mason Mayner.
