Roger Pickett, 69, Campbellsville, KY (1951-2020)

Roger Pickett of Campbellsville passed away on day, November 29, 2020. He was 69 years old.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Rev. Dan Durham and Bro. Robert Boston. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.



Roger Pickett of Campbellsville, son of the late Lloyd G. Pickett and Louise H. Akin Pickett, was born March 11, 1951 in Green County, Kentucky.

Roger was a retired Staff Sergeant for Campbellsville Police Department and Director of Public Safety for Lindsey Wilson College.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.

Roger was a true patriot who loved his country and the communities he grew up in and lived in. As a police officer, he tried to always be fair when dealing with offenders of the law. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He was a family man and was especially proud of his grandchildren and attended all their activities when he was able. He loved music and was a former drummer for Ruff Cut Band.

He united in marriage to Janet Watson March 8, 1968 and she preceded him in death December 31, 2014.

He is survived by one son and one daughter: Scott Pickett of Louisville and Stacey Miller and husband, Ryan of Lebanon; two grandchildren: Konner Forbis and Kenzi Forbis of Lebanon; three step-grandchildren: Landon, Lacey and Lilly Miller of Chaplin; one sister, Pat Lile and husband, Terry of Campbellsville; special caregivers: Billie Jo Perkins, Jeannette Perkins, Jase Cook and Mary Bright and many other relatives and friends.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to Hosparus of Green River and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
