James Walker (J.W.) Burton, II, 78, Columbia, KY (1941-2020)

James Walker "J.W." Burton, II, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky. He was 78 years old.

In accordance with the Governor's Mandate, all services will be private with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery.

He was born December 20, 1941, in Adair County, to the late James Walker and Bonnie Tucker Burton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Della Frances Hamon Burton in 2012 and two brothers, Freddie and Jerry Burton.

J.W. retired from the Automotive Industry and enjoyed playing golf.

Survivors include:
  • One son - Jim W. Burton, III of Richmond
  • One daughter & son-in-law - Nita & Glen Cappello of Richmond
  • One sister - Priscilla Osborne of Ohio
  • One granddaughter - Stephanie Medina and her husband Chuck of Lexington
  • Two great-granddaughters - Sierra & Selena Medina
  • Special friend - Sharon Robinson of Lancaster
  • Several other relatives & friends
