LWC ISP jump-starts the Christmas season

By Amanda Dicken

The Lindsey Wilson College International Student Programs (ISP) held a small gathering to jump-start the Christmas Season on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at the ISP house on the A.P. White Campus of Lindsey Wilson College.

The ISP students and guests enjoyed drinking hot chocolate, roasting marshmallows and eating s'mores around the fire pit. Moussa Gueye, of Rufisque, Senegal had a s'more for the first time. Samantha Maldonado, of Quito, Ecuador shared her secret to Gueye about the perfect construction of the roasted marshmallow, graham cracker and chocolate stack. When asked if he liked it, Gyeye smiled and said, "yes, it's good."

Immediately following, they decorated the Christmas tree and attempted to harmonize in singing some Christmas carols. Songs included Feliz Navidad, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Silent Night.

CDC guidelines including temperature checks, masks and social distancing were followed to ensure the safety of the event.

The gathering was part of a series of ISP events that have occurred during the fall semester.
