LWC Women's Cross Country takes 2nd at Drakes Creek Scramble By Brady Budke Bowling Green, KY - Meredith Johnson picked up her second victory of the season today at the Drakes Creek Scramble as the Lindsey Wilson women's cross country team secured second place out of the six competing Mid-South Conference schools. The Blue Raiders finished the event with a score of 68, falling behind Cumberlands (Ky.) who claimed the team victory with a final score of 33. Shawnee State (Ohio) trailed behind LWC in third with 82 points. Alongside it being Johnson's second career win, it also marks the sixth time she's finished inside the top-10 in an event. The junior crossed the finish line with a time of 19 minutes and 1.9 seconds, beating out Lisa Voyles of Cumberlands who crossed in second with a time of 19:13. Lindsey Wilson added another top-10 finish to the leaderboard in Alyssa Sharp, who finished in tenth place with a time of 20:30.1. Behind Johnson & Sharp, Laura Cuin rolled in at 13th place with a finishing time of 20:42.2. Kaylee Masden tallied 22nd place (21:21.1), while Dezare Jackson added 25th place (21:32) for LWC. Other notable Lindsey Wilson finishes included Macey Wilson in 27th (21:40.7), Kirsten Crepps in 29th (21:54.6), Annabelle Walker in 30th (22:02.7), Sarah Burton in 31st (22:03.7), Lotte Gertler in 33rd (22:10.5), Kayla Roeder in 37th (22:26.7), Cady Schoeck in 52nd (23:35.2), Shelby Henley in 54th (23:56.6), & Elsa Diaz in 57th (24:12.6).
