Herbert Fields, age 88, Metcalfe County, KY (1932-2020) Herbert Fields, age 88, of Edmonton, KY passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. Born July 9, 1932 he was the son of the late Noah William and Mary Katherine Hurt Fields. He retired from Southern States Coop after 34 years of service and was a farmer. He was a compassionate man and had a meek and humble spirit. His Christian belief showed in his daily life. He was a member of the Grace Union Baptist Church. Besides his parents Herbert was preceded in death by his wife Josephine and a sister Regina. He is survived by two sons. Ronnie Fields of Edmonton and Donnie and wife Gwen Fields of Marrowbone. Two grandchildren. Dustin Groce of Elizabethtown and Heather Nation of Glasgow. One great grandchild Chandler Nation. Graveside services for Herbert will be held at 1pmCT Tuesday at the Willie Gibson Cemetery on the Reece-Hurt Rd. with burial to follow. A walk-through visitation will be held from 4:30-8pm Monday and after 9am Tuesday at Butler Funeral Home. Due to current Covid-19 Crisis mask will be required.
