Hazel Marie Ellis, 92, Columbia, KY (1927-2020) Hazel Marie Ellis of Columbia passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Grandview Nursing Home in Campbellsville, KY. She was 92 years old. Funeral services will be held at 1pmCT on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Rev. Bill Davenport and Rev. Steve Pescosolido officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday after 10amCT at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeff Feese, Craig Feese, Clint Garrison, Trent Jones, Ray Browning, Jr., Lynn Wheatley, Hollan Beard, Jr., Timmy Ellis, Eddie Browning and Billy Keith. For the health and respect of the family, please follow all rules for social distancing and The Healthy at Work Guidelines. Everyone attending will be required to wear a mask or face covering. She was born October 29, 1927, the daughter of the late Earl and Martha Warren Hunt and wife of the late Walker Lee Ellis. Mrs. Ellis was a Member of Trinity United Methodist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends by cooking for them. She also enjoyed working puzzles and was a member of the Democratic Women's Group. Survivors include two children Daniel W. Ellis (Christoph) Louisville, KY; and Sheila Ellis Columbia, KY; granddaughter Paula Garrison (James) of Columbia, KY; great grandchildren Kayla Jones (Trent) Rochester, Minnesota and Clint Garrison of Columbia, KY; In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five siblings Cleo Steele, Leonard Hunt, Russell Hunt, Virgil Hunt & Kenneth Hunt.
