Naomi Parker, 92, Summersville, KY (1928-2020)

Naomi Juanita Miller Parker of Summersville passed away on August 17, 2020. She was 92 years old.

The funeral services for Naomi Parker will be conducted at 11amCT on Friday, August 21, 2020, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with Bro. Kelvin Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Aetna Grove Cemetery.

Walk through visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, and after 7amCT on Friday until the time of the funeral service.



Naomi Juanita Miller Parker of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ed Miller and Josie Miller, was born on Monday, August 6, 1928 in Hart County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Green Hill Rehab & Care Center. She was 92 years, and 11 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church. She was also a retired machine operator for Fruit of Loom, Inc.

She united in marriage to Neumon Parker on August 12, 1944 who preceded her in death on January 4, 2013.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Rita and Ranny Milby of Summersville; a son: Trent Milby and his fiance, Kiyonta Goodin both of Berea; a daughter: Creshauna Thompson of Louisville; two great-grandchildren: Elijah Cantley, and Kyvin Goodin-Rogers both of Louisville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Parker was also preceded in death by four brothers and a sister: Everett Miller, Roy Miller, Clarence Miller, Lloyd Miller, and Katherine Vaughn.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Aetna Grove Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Trent Milby, Jeffrey Benningfield, Norman Benningfield, Phillip Moss, Elijah Cantley, Mike Akin, Jackie Rose.
