Orville Wicker, 81, Russell Springs, KY (1939-2020)

Orville Wicker of Russell Springs passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. He was 81 years old.

The funeral service for Orville Wicker will be held at 10amCT on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at the First Baptist Church, 392 E, KY-80, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Ryan Coffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Russell County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 9amCT to 10amCT on Wednesday at the church.

The family requests that everyone wear a mask.


He was born March 22, 1939 in Mousie, Ky to the late Linville & Liza Campbell Wicker. He was a civil engineer and a member of First Baptist Church of Russell Springs.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Sheila Wicker, Russell Springs
  • Two sons: Jeffrey (Karen Quinn) Wicker, Simpsonville, Ky, and David Bryan (Debbie) Wicker, Frankfort, Ky
  • Three grandchildren: Jade Hathaway. Amanda Wicker, Austin Wicker
  • Three brothers: Ray Wicker, Radcliff, Ky, Arnold Wicker, Ohio, and Freddie Wicker, Pikeville, Ky
