Hettie E. Denton Burton, 75, Adair Co., KY native (1944-2020) Hettie E. Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away July 29, 2020 at her residence. She was 75 years old. A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Lewis Burton at 11amET on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church, 623 S Eisenhower Dr, Edinburgh, IN. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 4pmET until 8pmET on Friday, July 31, at the church and from 10amET until time of service on Saturday. She was born October 16, 1944 in Adair County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Elijah and Effie (Powell) Denton. She married Robert Lewis Burton December 1, 1963 and he survives. She is also survived by her brother, Alvin (Joyce) Denton of Columbia, Kentucky and sister-in-law, Rosie Denton of Mt. Auburn, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Arnold Denton and Willey Denton and sisters, Birtie Cox, Dorinda Hadley, Annie Harmon, and Mary Denton. Hettie was a founding member of the Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh where she was record keeper for many years. She worked at Amos Plastics from 1966 until 1987. She loved all of her family. She was alto singer in the former gospel group, Egypt Quartet. She enjoyed fishing and cooking deserts, especially Cherry Delight and Oreo Dirt Pudding.
