Rose Derrington Walton, 81, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her home.

The funeral service for Rose Derrington Walton will be held at 1pmCT on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bill Welker and Bro. Bucky Walters officiating.

Interment will follow in the Russell County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 11amCT on Wednesday until the funeral time at 1pmCT.



She was born July 26, 1938 in Hardy, Miss. to the late John & Geneva Sullivan Derrington.

Rose was a homemaker and a member of Jamestown Christian Church.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Bill Walton, Russell Springs
  • Three children: Lisa (Mike) Bradshaw, Jamestown, Maria Walton, Bowling Green, Ky, and Ray (Melanie) Walton, Lexington
  • Three grandchildren: Jason (Andrea) Bradshaw, Kyle Bradshaw, and Conner Walton
  • A great grandchild: Caynan Bradshaw
  • Two step great grandsons: Gavin, Chase Thomas
  • A brother: Jimmy D. Derrington, Madison, MS
  • A sister: Bernice Woods Griffin, Grenada, MS
Pallbearers: Jason Bradshaw, Kyle Bradshaw, Connor Walton, Darrin Jones, Ben Woods, Greg Bunch
