Phyllis Jo Rooks, 75, Columbia, KY (1945-2020)

Phyllis Jo (Carter) Rooks of Columbia passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at her home. She was 75 years old.

Graveside services will be held at 11amCT on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at the Free Union Cemetery.



Born May 20, 1945, in Columbia, KY she was the daughter of the late Lee "Bob" and Mary Lee Denton Carter.

Mrs. Rooks was member of the Free Union Separate Baptist Church in the Sano Community and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her six children Sharon Hamlett (Richard), Mitchell Rooks (Bernice), Mark Rooks, Mickey Rooks (Dinah) and Anissa Russell all of Columbia, KY and Mike Rooks (Velma) of Russell Springs, KY and several grandchildren & great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter Rachel Lynn Russell and a brother Phillip Carter.
