Nicholas Scott transitions from Columbia UMC to Antioch Transition leaves position of Youth Pastor open at Columbia United Methodist Church. Nicholas Scott will be moving from Youth Ministries Director at Columbia United Methodist Church to the position of Pastor of Antioch United Methodist Church in the Sparksville community of Adair County. He said of his work at Columbia UMC, “I’ve learned more from the kids than they’ve learned from me. Sure, my job was to teach them, share the gospel, and love them, but it was never really a job. “Those kids are easy to love,” he said, “and they’re incredibly bright. We’ve had a lot of laughter and good times that I’ll always cherish.” Nick is a Wesley Scholar at Lindsey Wilson College, studying for a degree in Christian Ministry as well as psychology. After graduation from Lindsey, he plans to continue his education at either Asbury Seminary or Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He will continue school until he earns a doctorate and then will look for a career as a professor and pastor. He is a native of Georgetown, Kentucky, the son of David Scott and Susan Thomas. Contact Nick at 502-542-9457 or nicholas.scott@lindsey.edu. This story was posted on 2020-06-08 11:22:02
