Robert 'Bobby Gail' Shuffett, Adair County, KY (1945-2020) Robert "Bobby Gail" Shuffett of Columbia, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. He was 74 years, nine months, and five days of age. He was a Chemistry and Biology Professor for 20 plus years at Lindsey Wilson College, had made a profession of faith, and was owner of the Shuffett's Adult Day Care in Edmonton. He was also a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army. The funeral services will be conducted at 1pmCT Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Liberty Cemetery with military honors. Bro. Rickie Williams officiating. Due to State Mandates on public gatherings, there will be a walk through visitation with social distancing on Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 4-6pmCT at the Funeral Home and after 11amCT Sunday until time of the funeral service. Pallbearers will be: Ron Richardson, Mark Parrish, Will LaRue, Jerry Rogers, Rickie Williams, Aaron Tilton. He was the son of the late James Robert Shuffett and Georgia Mildred Wilson Shuffett, was born on Wednesday, August 22, 1945 in Green County, Kentucky and Survived by a daughter: Elizabeth Shuffett and her fiancé, Ron Richardson both of Columbia; three grandchildren: Brayden Richardson, Everly Richardson, and Emberlyn Richardson all of Columbia; a life partner: Charlene Daniels of Elizabethtown; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, which can be made at the funeral home.
