Mary Elizabeth Burris, Green County, KY (1933-2020)

Mary Elizabeth Burris of Greensburg, KY departed this life Wednesday May 13, 2020 at the University of Louisville Hospital, having attained the age of eighty-six years, nine months, and twenty-eight days.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and executive order by Kentucky Governor Beshear, the services for Mary Izzie Burris will be conducted privately with Rev. Garnett Wayne Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Tarter's Chapel Cemetery in Adair County.



She was born July 15, 1933 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Alec "Elic" Zander Burris and Delzie Emmaline Parson Burris. She had made a profession of faith in Christ. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Roy, Rue, Eunie, Bill, Rollin and A.Z. Burris, Shirley Smith, Norene Burris and Joyce Dillahay.

She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Charge of the arrangements.
