Danny Paul Atwood, 71, Greensburg, KY (1948-2020) Danny Paul Atwood of Greensburg passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. He was 71 years old. Cremation was chosen, and no formal services will be held. Online condolences may be left at cowherdandparrott.com. Danny Paul Atwood of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Eugene Vernon Atwood and Everene Followell Atwood, was born on Thursday, May 6, 1948 in Marion County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at his home. He was 71 years, 11 months, and 2 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a farmer. Mr. Atwood was also a Vietnam War Veteran having served in the United States Army. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Newton Shively Atwood of Greensburg, having united in marriage on May 20, 1972. Other survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Wesley Atwood, and Richard "Bubba" and Brandi Atwood all of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Tyler Atwood, Libby Atwood, Parker Atwood, and Jensen Atwood all of Greensburg; two great-grandchildren: Preston Atwood and Luxton Atwood both of Greensburg; two brothers and three sisters: Manley Atwood of Campbellsville, Vernon Atwood, Patricia Adams both of Florida, Sandra Jeffries of Greensburg, and Eva Thompson of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made through the funeral home.
