Cloudy, high 81F, chance of storms tonight

It's currently 64F at the Adair County Mesonet station. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7amCT, then a slight chance of showers between 7amCT and 9amCT. It will be cloudy this morning, gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 81F. West wind around 10 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight as a cold front moves through the area. The strongest storms will be capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and cloud to ground lightning, with a lesser chance of a brief, isolated tornado. Increasing clouds again, with an overnight low around 50F. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest 12 to 17 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Thursday will start partly sunny, then gradually become sunny, with a high near 58F. West wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 35F and west wind 7 to 13 mph.
