Letter: Trinity UMC cancels Sunday service Dear Trinity UMC Members, Attendees and the Adair County Community, Reluctantly, but obediently and lovingly, I am cancelling all activities at church for two weeks in order to protect the health of our members, attendees and community. Honestly, I had initially planned to hold two weeks of combined worship services at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. But this morning, having read a very appropriate letter from our Bishop, I will follow his strong request that we cancel worship services and activities at church. This is not what I had hoped for, but let’s ask God to turn this trial into good. Facebook Live Stream: Karen and I will present a live stream worship service on Sundays, March 15 & 22, at 9:30 a.m. from the Sanctuary. I hope families will gather and sing, worship, pray and love from their homes. Other families in Adair County or anywhere in the USA are welcome to join the worship time. We’ll worship in song, I’ll receive prayer requests, we’ll have an offering, there will be a sermon (Satan Makes It Easy to Give Up) and you will have a response question. Different, for sure, but let’s make the best of this as we guard our vulnerable children and our vulnerable adults. Let’s also keep our eyes and ears open as to how we can help the folks right around us. Groceries, supplies, front porch fellowship, shared meals … you all in Adair County know how to do this well – I’m preaching to the choir. Let your light shine – I know you will!
