Ron (Bat) Masterson, 76, Campbellsville, KY (1943-2020) Ron "Bat" Masterson of Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. He was 76 years old. A visitation will be held from 5pmET until 8pmET on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. Ron "Bat" Masterson of Campbellsville, son of the late John Masterson and Julia Cekus Masterson, was born June 19, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. He died at 1:29 A.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Campbellsville. He attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a retired union worker with the American Freight Systems. Ron was an avid fisherman and sports fan and especially enjoyed the Cubs and Bears. He united in marriage to Barbara Schultz September 21, 1968 and she preceded him in death January 3, 2011. He is survived by one son and four daughters: Laura Lamer of Campbellsville, Ron Masterson, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois, Carol Masterson of Campbellsville, Theresa Lamer and husband, Glenn of Elk Horn and Josephine Smith and husband, Don of Campbellsville; fourteen grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; two brothers and five sisters: Mark Masterson, Jerome Masterson and wife, Windy, Victoria Arteaga, Judy Tobias and husband, Lawrence, Mary Moreno, Janice Janda and husband, Steven and Kathy Chavez and husband, George; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Ron was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Masterson and a brother-in-law, Robert Arteaga. Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to the funeral expenses and may be made Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
