Ray Lee Wheat, 70, Liberty, KY (1949-2019)

Ray Lee Wheat of Liberty passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky. He was 70 years old.

Cremation rites were honored by McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. No services will be held at this time.

Born April 10, 1949, in Russell County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ernest and Nellie Brumley Wheat.

Ray was a mechanic and also enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Bridwell Wheat of Liberty, whom he wed on August 14, 1972; three sisters, Mae Morgan of Middleburg, Louise Curtsinger of Moreland, and Bessie Worley of Russell Springs; one grandson, Jordan Wheat; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Wheat; one brother, Louis Wheat; and two sisters, Loretta Wheat and Patsy Wheat.
