Mary Catherine Henderson Morrison, 89, Greensburg, KY (1930-2019)

Mrs. Mary Catherine Henderson Morrison of Greensburg, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019. She was 89 years old.

The funeral services for Mrs. Mary Catherine Henderson Morrison will be conducted at 1pmCT on Monday, October 21, 2019, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Brandon Cook will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 10amCT until 1pmCT on Monday until time of the service at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg.


Mrs. Mary Catherine Henderson Morrison of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late George Arvin Henderson and Elsie Catherine Akin, was born on Friday, April 18, 1930 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Green Hill Rehab & Care Center in Greensburg, Kentucky. She was 89 years and six months of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Arthur "Bozo" Simmons Morrison on August 7, 1948 who preceded her in death in June 1994.

Survivors include: one daughter and two sons: Nancy Alt of Florida, Ronald Lewis Morrison of Covington and Logan Morrison of Greensburg; six grandchildren: Matthew Morrison, Mary Larnce, Angela Hacker, Beth Williams, April Durall and Lisa Andersson; a host of great grandchildren; one sister and two brothers: Mattie Gray of Louisville, Johnny Henderson and James Henderson, both of Greensburg and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son: Hollis Morrison; a grandson: Kerry Newland; three sisters: Dorothy Arnett, Hallie Waldridge and Frances Gray; a brother: Vernon Henderson.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
