Glen Stephens, 81, Russell Springs, KY (1937-2019)

Glen Stephens of Russell Springs, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was 81 years old.

The funeral service for Glen Stephens will be held at 3pmCT on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Solid Rock Church, 189 West Dr., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Troy Mcwhorter. Bro. Paul South, Bro. Ron Pitcock and Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel and after 10amCT on Saturday at the church until funeral time at 3pmCT.


He was born December 21, 1937 in Russell County to the late George Albert & Fairlee Hopper Stephens.

He was a carpenter and a member of Calvary Temple Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Clydene George Genis Stephens, John Stephens, Homer Stephens, Paul Stephens, Dorothy Stephens, and Ralph Stephens

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Linda Stephens, Russell Springs
  • Five children: Cindy Lynn (Paul) South, Greenwood, IN, Tony Trent, Greenville, Ohio, Donna Lynette Stephens, Lebanon, Ky, Trina (Samuel) South, Russell Springs, Tim (Sherry) Stephens, Glasgow, Ky
  • Ten grandchildren
  • Five great grandchildren
  • Three brothers: Jimmy (Wilma) Stephens, Campbellsville, Ky, Quenton (Betty) Stephens, Russell Springs, and Elmer Stephens, Russell Springs
  • Two sisters: Kathleen Holt, Eubank, and Clotene Estes, Eubank, Ky
