Keith Jewell, 44, Green County, KY (1975-2019)

Keith Douglas Jewell of Green County, KY departed this life on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. He was 44 years, and 27 days of age.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pmCT Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery with Firefighter honors. Bro. Cliffton Sullivan and Bro. Brad Davis will conduct the services. Visitation begins at 1pmCT Tuesday and after 7amCT Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Chad Heath, Tim Darnell, Jermarko Mitchell, Chatman Rogers, Chamren Rogers, Daryl Rogers, David Hodges, William "Fats" Coffey, Johnny Underwood, Anthony Brockman and Otis Cross.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Cattlemen's Association Board Members, Kentucky Farm Bureau Board Members, Greensburg-Green County Fire Department, Kentucky Department of Highways, Tailgate Crew, Brad Corbin, Richard Milby, Bradley Abell and Greg Gupton.



He was the son of Kenny Jewell and Kathy Bauder Jewell of Green County, born on Sunday, July 27, 1975 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He was an Inspector for the Kentucky Department of Highways, Unit #69 for the Greensburg-Green County Fire and Rescue, a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post #124 and Sons of the American Legion. He was on the Board of Directors for the Green County Cattlemen's Association, and Kentucky Farm Bureau Board.

Besides his parents, Keith is survived by his wife of 15 years, Chasity Hodges Jewell of Green County, having united in marriage on February 21, 2004.

Other survivors include a son - Zachary Chandler Jewell of Green County; a daughter - Carrington Grace Jewell of Green County; grandparents - Redell Jewell, Winnie Crump, William "Fats" and Correll Coffey, all of Green County; father-in-law and mother-in-law - David and Wanda Hodges of Green County; sister-in-law - Ashley Bennett of Columbia; aunts and uncles - Candy Barron, Allen Bauder II, Daryl and Donna Rogers all of Green County; Stan and Kim Curry, David and Keisha Ellis all of Campbellsville; niece and nephews - Kayden, Kaylence, Kobie Bennett all of Columbia, and Jack Ellis of Campbellsville; two special friends - Chad Heath and Tim Darnell both of Greensburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Keith was preceded in death by a grandfather - Allen Bauder; and a grandmother - Beulah Nell Jewell.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Zach and Carrington Scholarship Fund or Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
