Everett Howard Harvey, 76, Russell Springs, KY (1943-2019)

Everett Howard Harvey of Russell Springs passed away August 22, 2019 peacefully after a long illness. He was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT on Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 E. Steve Wariner Dr., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. David Coffey & Bro. Rabon Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery, West Highway 80, Russell Springs, Kentucky. To honor his life long career as a truck driver, he will be driven to his final resting place by JR Hudson Transport.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 5pmCT at Wilson Funeral home in Russell Springs, Kentucky.

He was born April 23, 1943 in Russell Springs. He was the son of the late Shafter and Lena Whittle Harvey.

Everett was a retired truck driver for Sallee Horse Vans of Lexington and an honorary driver for JR Hudson Transport. He loved driving a truck almost as much as he loved a game of Rook and a good conversation with anyone. He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him.

Everett is survived by one sister Louise Johnson of Shelbyville, Indiana, one granddaughter, Jennifer and Dave Sneed, as well as two great granddaughters, Reagan and Maddie. He leaves behind several special friends who were just like family. The impact he had on those around him is indescribable. He was a member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Murrell, Gary Lawless, Leonard Gaskins, WT Powell, Garrett Lawless, Sally Robertson, Acey Burton, Brian Crowe, Zack Crowe, Dean Hayes, Jackie Hornback, Buzz Antle, and Gordon Coffey.

Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences at wfhrs.com.
