Virgil Bastin, 94, Middleburg, KY (1924-2019) Virgil Bastin of Middleburg, KY passed away on Friday July 26th, 2019 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 94 years old. Funeral Services will be held 1pmET on Monday July 29th, 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Rev. Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will be in the Middleburg Cemetery with Military Rites performed by the Casey County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held at 6pmET on Sunday, July 28th, 2019 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. He was born in Hustonville, KY on November 23rd, 1924 a son of the late Clarence Morgan Bastin and Gertrude Wall Bastin. Virgil was a Retired Certified Welder for Seller's Engineering, a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of Middleburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: His Spouse: Frankie Marie Jones Bastin, Two Daughters: Charlotte and (Gary) King of Liberty and Wilma Jean and (Larry) Caudill of Taylorsville, KY, One Son: Kenny and (Betty Jo) Bastin of Middleburg, Eight Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren. Preceding him in death besides his parents was Four Brothers: Herman, L.C., Jason and Glancy Bastin and Three Sisters: Crisha West, Annie Scarbough and Mame Bastin.
