Regena Beard, 89, Taylor Co., KY native (1929-2019)

Regena Beard of Williamsburg, Ohio, formerly of Campbellsville, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019. She was 89 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Pastor Tim Bradshaw. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 11amET until 1pmET on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Regena Beard of Williamsburg, Ohio, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Cosby Bradshaw and Cora Philpott Bradshaw, was born October 11, 1929, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:13 A.M., Sunday, July 21, 2019 in Georgetown, Ohio.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.

Regena was a retired employee of Cintas.

She united in marriage to Delbert Beard May 5, 1951 and he preceded her in death November 27, 2017.

She is survived by one son and four daughters: D. L. Beard and wife, Patty and Joyce Becker and husband, Ed of Owenton, Rosemary Becker and husband, Dave of Williamsburg, Ohio, Cheryl Rickey and husband, Randy of East Gate, Ohio and Anita Bunnell and husband, Greg of Indianapolis, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters: John T. Bradshaw of Shelbyville, Donald Bradshaw of Ohio, Colene Wilson of Ohio, Ruby Wilson and Dianne Smothers of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Glendal Keith Beard, one sister and three brothers: Wilma Bradshaw, Lyman Bradshaw, Dallas Bradshaw and Willard Bradshaw.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
