Rebecca A. Grant, 79, Adair County, KY Rebecca A. Grant, 79, of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY after a long illness. Funeral services will be Friday, July 19, 2019 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Wisdom officiating. Interment will follow in the Fudge Cemetery at Breeding, KY. Visitation will be after 3pmCT Thursday. Pallbearers: Shirl Darnell, Doug Darnell, Doug Melton, Danny Grant, Dale Corbin, and Garry Burton. She was the daughter of the late Owen L. and Lorine Grider Claywell of Adair County. She was the widow of Elford Grant who preceded her in death on July 8, 2012 and she was preceded in death by one daughter and step-son Lisa Kay Branham and Larry Grant on July 9, 1977 and by one brother Floyd Claywell. Mrs. Grant was a member of the Emory Chapel Methodist Church and had attended the Hadley Community Church, she worked in the jewelry department at Wal-Mart for many years. Her hobbies were showing her antique cars in car shows and enjoying company with family and friends. She is survived by Two daughters: Carolyn Cowan (Gilbert) and Diane Coomer of Columbia, KY One step-daughter: Sherry (Rick) Criel of Illinois Two brothers: Molten Claywell of Fredricksburg, IN and Calvin Claywell of Pennsylvania Two sisters: Catherine Darnell Columbia, KY & Edith Hadley of Fairplay, KY Three grandchildren: Bobby Bennett and Kavin Cowan & Gina Douget Two great grandchildren: Nathan and Delaney Bennett Two step grandchildren: Craig and Brian Lyczk and two step great grandchildren, Alexis and Quinn Lyczk Five step grandchildren: Lily, Brena, Zoey, Trenton Coomer and Gracelyn Miller Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
