Glenna Gaye Coffey, 78, Russell Springs, KY (1941-2019)

Glenna Gaye Zimmerman Coffey, 78, of Russell Springs, died Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

The funeral service for Glenna Gaye Coffey will be at held at 10amCT on Monday, July 15, 2019 at the Square Oak Separate Baptist Church, 3979 State Hwy 1611, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Bobby Conner and Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Square Oak Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Sunday at the church, and after 8amCT on Monday at the church.


She was born April 27, 1941 in Russell County to the late Logan & Audrey Hughes Zimmerman.

Glenna was a bank teller at Bank of Jamestown and a member of Square Oak Separate Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Lee Coffey; 4 siblings, Markel Zimmerman, Aralynn Zimmerman, Tom Zimmerman, Royce Zimmerman

Survivors include:
  • Three children: Bro. Troy (Allison) Coffey, Russell Springs, Tonja Coffey, Russell Springs, and Tylar (Stephanie) Coffey, Russell Springs
  • Twelve grandchildren: Donavyn Coffey, Brenan Lee Coffey, Branscum Hayes Coffey, Jaterria Emone Coffey, Aniyah Rachelle Branscum, Bianca Jolynn Coffey, Kiara LaShae Coffey, Cadylee Dayne Coffey, Audrey Payton Coffey, Caden Jace Coffey, Presley Ann Johnson, Parker Aaron Johnson
  • A sister: Norma Faye Smith, Russell Springs
  • A brother: Ronnie (Judith) Zimmerman, Glasgow
