Wanda Jean Moore Tillett, 71, Geneva, KY (1948-2019)

Wanda Jean Moore Tillett, of Geneva, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019, at Baptist Health in Lexington, surrounded by her loving family. She was 71 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmET on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Green River Pentecostal Church, 7337 KY-698, Hustonville, KY, with Brother Rick Naylor and Brother Gary Yocom officiating. Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6pmET to 9pmET on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Green River Pentecostal Church and from 10amET to 1pmET on Thursday, June 27, 2019, also at Green River Pentecostal Church.


Born on March 22, 1948, Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Gladys Daughtery Moore. Wanda was a member of Green River Pentecostal Church and a former shipping/receiving clerk for BPI. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Wanda also enjoyed sewing, traveling, and working in her flowers.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Carles Tillett of Geneva; two daughters, Stacy (Randy) Caudill of Danville and Tonya (Robbie) Todd of Stanford; a son, Jamie Tillett of Geneva; three sisters, Joyce (Larry) Moore of McKinney, Rita (Jackie) Owens of McKinney, and Judy (Tommy) Terry of Oahu, Hawaii; and a brother, Donald (Mary Alice) Moore of McKinney. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Leann (Brandon) Hines, Erica (Brandon) Miller, Jordan (Trista) Caudill, Kortney Caudill, Caleb Todd, Cody Tillett, Devin Tillett and Kaitlin Caudill; four great-grandchildren, Jaydon Hines, Branson Miller, Brenna Miller and Danielle Reed, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Louise Carpenter; and two brothers, Kenneth Moore and Russell Moore.

Jamie Tillett, Cody Tillett, Devin Tillett, Jordan Caudill, Caleb Todd, Jaydon Hines, Brandon Miller, and Brandon Hines will serve as Wanda's pallbearers.
