James Edward Timlin, 88, Jamestown, KY (1930-2019)

James Edward Timlin of Jamestown, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, June 09, 2019 at his residence. He was 88 years old.

A funeral mass will be held at 10amCT on Thursday June 13, 2019 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Main Street, Jamestown, Kentucky, with Father Joseph Thomas officiating. No visitation at the church prior to the service.

Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday, June 15th at 10:30amCT at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, with Military Honors to be performed.

Visitation is requested on Wednesday June 12, 2019, from 5pmCT until 9pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, Kentucky.


He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, retired from Chrysler Motors and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church

He was born on Sunday November 23, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Lois Virginia (Lomprey) Timlin and the late James Edward Timlin, Sr..

He is survived by :
  • A Daughter, Jean Timlin, Northville, Michigan
  • Five Sons: James Edward Timlin, South Lyon, Michigan, Phillip Timlin, Ravenna, Michigan, William Timlin, White Lake, Michigan, Vincent Timlin, Northville, Michigan, and Matthew Timlin, Jamestown, Kentucky
  • A Brother, Joseph Timlin, Marco Island, Florida
  • Ten grandchildren
  • Two great-grandchildren
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rita Timlin.
