Russell Co. Middle receives transportation grant By Molly Caldwell Frankfort, KY - Students from nine more Kentucky schools are taking field trips to a Kentucky State Park thanks to a transportation grant from the Kentucky State Parks Foundation, including Russell County Middle School, which received a grant to take the 7th and 8th grade classes to My Old Kentucky Home. The KSPF's "Inside Out Education" initiative allows schools to seek the grants that enable students to learn about the environment, history or culture at a Kentucky State Park. "These grants bring young people to our Kentucky State Parks so they can experience the natural environment and history," Parks Commissioner Donnie Holland said. "These are excellent learning opportunities for students." The schools, districts and the park they are visiting are:

The Kentucky State Parks Foundation also has a poster and t-shirt series designed to help support the mission of the organization and Inside Out Education.
