Pete McKinney, 88, Russell County, KY (1930-2019)

Pete McKinney, 88, of Jamestown, KY passed away Sunday, April 14th, at the Russell County Hospital.

Religious Services will be held at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel at 2pmCT on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 with Bro. Barry Bradshaw officiating. Friends may visit Wednesday after 11amCT. Interment will be in the Jamestown Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Terry Grider, Scotty Coe, Steven Hadley, Larry Humble, Jeff Perkins and David Hale.



Pete was born in Jamestown, KY on June 7, 1930, a son of the late Cassie (Coe) and Leo McKinney.

He was a Truck Driver and attended the The First United Methodist Church of Jamstown, KY

He was the husband of Geraldine (Hadley) McKinney, of Jamestown, KY, they were married for 69 years.

Pete is also survived by two daughters, Sharon Tucker and Michelle (Trent) Roy; two grandsons Jacob Tucker, and Ben Roy, granddaughter Chelsey (Austin) Felty.

He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers Clarence, Cosby, Carsie, Leo Jr.,and James Max McKinney, 3 sisters Rene Pearl McKinney(infant) Eva Ray Hadley, and Neva Lee Blakey.
