Ernest C. Davis, 86, Russell County, KY (1932-2019)

He was of the Methodist faith. He started with Cundiff Dairy in 1945 then to Columbia Dairy in 1950 then started working with Cumberland Dairy in 1953 and Southern Belle and retired in 1997 for a total of 51 and a half years delivering milk to homes, stores, schools and restaurants.

Ernest C. Davis, age 86, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Thursday, April 04, 2019 at T. J. Samson, Glasgow.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT Sunday April 07, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, with Bro. Garlin Wilson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday April 06, 2019 4-9pmCT at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY.



He was of the Methodist faith. He was born on Monday April 11, 1932 in Bow, Kentucky Son of Mary Davidson and Gobel Davis.

He is survived by:

1 Daughter - Melinda Thomas and Kenton, Russell Springs

2 Sons - Darrell Davis, Russell Springs; and Greg Davis and Jill, Russell Springs

2 Sisters - Wanda Reese, Antioch, TN; and Mildred Hamlett, Columbia

1 Brother - Leon Davis, Glensfork, KY

2 grandsons - Jordan (Carolyn) Thomas, Jacob (Amelia) Thomas. 1 granddauughter Tina Thomas and one great-granddaughter Juliza Jane Thomas. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Loy Davis, one brother, Mack Davis and an infant sister Margaret, along with one niece, Mary Armstrong and a nephew, Howard Conover.

Expressions of sympathy suggested to Gideon's International and may be left at the funeral home.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
