Linda Earlene Coffey, 74, of Jamestown, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Russell County Hospital.

The funeral service for Linda Earlene Coffey will be held at 1pmCT on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Rod Lawless officiating. Interment will follow in the Samuel York Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is requested from 10amCT until 1pmCT on Wednesday.


She was born July 4, 1944 in Russell County.

She was a beautician and a member of Grider's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Earlene was preceded in death by her husband, Marshell Lawrence Coffey; her father, Samuel York; and a brother, Phillip Wayne York.

Survivors include:
  • Two children: Marshall Dale (Lisa) Coffey, Danville, Ky, Donna Annette Coffey
  • Seven grandchildren: Ryan Coffey, Kelsey Coffey, Cody Coffey, Zachary Coffey, Nikki Shearer, Dakota Gore, Cheyenne Gore
  • Two great grandchildren: Rylan Coffey, Jackson Coffey
  • Her mother: Edna Myrtle York, Jamestown
  • One sister: Carol (Danny) Brumley, Jamestown
  • Three brothers: Elvis Eugene (Judy) York, Jamestown, Preston Dean (Del) York, Russell Springs, Rocky (Priscilla) York, Cinn., Ohio
