David Stephens, 79, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Sunday, February 10th, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Religious Service at Russell Springs United Methodist Church, Russell Springs, KY, at 10:30am on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Visitation Tuesday 4-8pmCT at Russell Springs United Methodist Church, and on Wednesday 8amCT until time of service. Interment at Mill Springs National Cemetery Nancy, KY Thursday at 11:30amCT with Military Honors by Russell County Honor Squad.

He was born in Russell Springs, KY on June 17, 1939, a son of the late Velna (Meece) and Arlus Stephens.

He served in the U.S. Navy and was a retired Educator.

He was the husband of Linda (Pendley) Stephens, of Russell Springs, KY

David is also survived by:

A sister, Frances (Bo) Price, of Russell Springs, KY

A brother, Terril Stephens, of Russell Springs, KY

12 nieces and nephews also survive - Shelia (Bruce) Richardson, Carl (Lisa) Stephens, Jr., Sharon McWilliams, Carman (Marvin) Anderson, Tina Lusk, Stephanie (Gary) Frost, A.J. (Claire) Stephens, Caleb Stephens, Chuck Price, Chris (Caroline) Price, Teressa Haun, and Craig (Becky) Stephens.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers Carl, Junie, Kent and Terry C. Stephens, a nephew Stan Price.
