Bobby Maxie Bennett, 80, Columbia, KY (1938-2019) Bobby attended the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, was a retired Truck Driver and loved farming. Bobby Maxie Bennett, 80, of Columbia, KY died Friday, February 01, 2019 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be 1pmCT on Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. Bro. Justin Dial and Bro. Rocky Morrison will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3pmCT on Sunday at the funeral home. Born in Adair County, Kentucky, on November 30, 1938, he was the son of the late Robert and Pearl Coffey Bennett. Mr. Bennett was also preceded in death by his first wife Mary Geraldine Rose Bennett, a grandson Caleb Kyle Sneed and a sister Estelene Bennett. Bobby attended the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church, was a retired Truck Driver and loved farming. Survivors include his wife Vola Bragg Bennett of Columbia; a son Micheal Bennett (Debbie) of Columbia; a daughter Crystal Taylor (Wallace) of Edmonton; three grandchildren Brandon Bennett (Danielle), Jacob Sneed (Fiancee Hanna Tucker) and Joseph Sneed all of Columbia, KY; three great grandchildren Brinkson Bennett, Allari Bennett and Raelynn Sneed; a sister Naomi Burton (John) of Columbia; a brother Nathan Bennett (Brenda) of Columbia and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brandon Bennett, Jacob Sneed, Joseph Sneed, Josh Bennett, Phillip Coffey and Charles Dunham Bennett. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
