2018 Top Stories - Looking back at the most read stories

It's New Year's Eve and we say goodbye to the year twenty-eighteen with a look back at what people read most over the 12 months coming to a close at midnight tonight.

Obviously, the biggest news for those of us at Columbia Magazine in 2018 was the passing of Ed Waggener. We greatly appreciated the outpouring of sentiments and stories from readers and colleagues.

Other big stories included The 2018 Election, Bypass Problems, New Business Openings, and more. Click headline for Election coverage links. We'll post more over the holiday.

The 2018 Election - A competitive election season kicked off early in 2018, and eventually saw the election of the first majority-female leadership team in Columbia History, with Mayor Pam Hoots, County Judge Executive-elect Gale Cowan, and three City Council members.
