Billy Grant, 81, Columbia, KY (1937-2018)

Billy was a member of Columbia Christian Church, a US Army Veteran and owned Grant's Shoe Store in Liberty for 45 years.

Billy Grant, 81, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 9:20pm at the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 11amCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry White and Bro. Ed Parton officiating.

Visitation is requested on Monday from 5pmCT until 8pmCT.


He was born November 11, 1937, in the Neatsville community of Adair County, to the late Robert Aaron and Shirley Williams Grant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leland Grant, and three sisters, Evelyn McCloud, Elizabeth Faust and Ramona Collins.

Billy was a member of Columbia Christian Church, a US Army Veteran and owned Grant's Shoe Store in Liberty for 45 years.

Survivors include:
  • His wife, Sue Pickett Grant
  • Two sons, Rick and his wife Johnetta Grant of Lexington, Brad and his wife Sandra Grant of Melbourne, Florida
  • One sister, Joyce Flynn of California
  • One grandson, Colby Grant
  • Several other relatives and friends
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Sugarfoot Farm Rescue which may be left at the funeral home or mailed to 860 Sparksville Road, Columbia, KY 42728.
