Thurston Sullivan, 81, Louisville, KY (1937-2018)

Mr. Sullivan was retired from the U. S. Army and the Corp of Engineers. He was an avid hunter and of the Methodist faith.

Thurston Sullivan, 81, of Louisville, KY and formerly of the Cundiff community of Adair County died Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence.

Funeral services will be 11amCT on Friday, December 14, 2018, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Mike Helm officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 10amCT on Thursday at the funeral home.


Born August 29, 1937, in Adair County, he was the son of the late Richard Colonel and Jessie Marie Hadley Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan was retired from the U. S. Army and the Corp of Engineers. He was an avid hunter and of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Campbell Sullivan of Louisville; two sons Richard Sean Sullivan and Byron Sullivan (Diana) both of Louisville, KY; two granddaughters Casandra Rose Sullivan and Chi'ara Marie Ashley Sullivan both of Louisville; a brother Randall Sullivan (Martha) of Greensburg, KY; a sister Adrian Doris Hadley of Columbia and several nieces and a nephew.

Pallbearers will be Sean Sullivan, Byron Sullivan, Randall Sullivan, Dwight Hadley, Terry Hadley, David Hadley, Dwan Hadley, Wendell Sturgill and Chris Mims.
